Safeek, MD, MBA, CPE Interim CEO: John Grigson Secretary: Dr. Cindy Brown Appeals CommitteeSham Gandhi, MD Catherine Ronaghan, MD Robert Carr, MD Larry Lawrence, MD Srinivas Kadiyala, MD The Appeals Committee, chaired by Dr. Sham Gandhi, was created to give physicians participating in Covenant Health Partners a process by which to file grievances for actions taken against him or her. A physician may file a grievance for any action he or she believes is in violation of the terms of his or her contract and was wrongly adjudicated. The actions of supervisory, regulatory, disciplinary and administrative committees are subject to appeal. Material facts may be presented that were either not taken into account or were misinterpreted by the committee being challenged. If the physician desires, counsel may be present. Decisions of the committee will be made by a simple majority vote of the three members. After the decision is made, it will be forwarded to the Executive Committee for fi nal disposition. Th e committee will be free to seek the advice of as many experts as it deems necessary to makes it decisions. Clinical Measures CommitteeDale Little, MD Tim West, MD Felicia Gordon, RN

Smitherman, MD Stephen Stripling, MD Stanley Thorton, MD Robert Zube, MD The goal of the Clinical Measures Committee, chaired by Dr. Dale Little, is to decide on standards for inpatient and out-patient care that will be monitored and used as quality improvement measures. Each physician that participates in Covenant Health Partners will be tracked on whether he or she hits the targets of the individual measures. The success rate will then be used to rate individual physicians. Data from the physicians will be entered into a program called Crimson that will allow the committee to more easily keep track of the progress of members. While the committee will have the ability to see which physicians are meeting the standards, the committee will not act as a policing unit. Some measures will apply to all participants and other measures will be specifi c to a specialty. As the measures are decided on, they will be announced. Dr. Brian Bruening, Dr. David Close, Dr. Shannon Rivas, Dr. Stephen Stripling, Dr. Jason Bradley and Dr. Travis Casler are also members of the committee.
